Read 'n' Seed 4: Third Quarter of The Last Hours of Ancient Sunlight

So far I am up to page 300 in the book I am reading.  Just like the other pages in the book, these also have had mini chapters that all relate to the main theme. Some of the interesting headers that are covered in these pages were, The Robots Take Over, But What About Darwin?, What Can We Do About It?, The Science, Learn To Create Awareness along with a few others. All of these go into great detail and do a good job of describing what they mean.

So far, I have learned a lot more new information, gained knowledge and learned some interesting facts that I had not known previously. Some ideas that were talked about in the book on ways to transform ourselves for  better and more positive future are as follows:

  • Transform ourselves
  • Change our technologies
  • Change how we think of and use science
  • We can learn many lessons by reconnecting to the to the wisdom of out ancestors
  • We can build communities that work
  • Transforming culture by transforming policies
Some words in the reading I wanted clarification on:

-Neurochemicals: which means a drug or something else that effects the nervous system.  This makes more sense now but the context which it was used in the book made it somewhat confusing.
-Evangelism: The work of spreading the Christian gospel.

-Self-preservation: To protect yourself from harm

This is important to us because we all have to live on this planet and we should be aware of what is going on.  We also need to know that what we do and the actions we take do make a difference.  If we know and understand some ways to make the difference that we make positive this will have a better effect on the future for us and those around us!

  3. Yes, we do need to learn new things in order to transform our world. That is the only way we are going to be able to keep it.

  4. Just curious, why did the book mention the word 'evangelism?'

  5. Sonny- It talks about different views and different beliefs during different times/eras and how different groups of people view things having to do with the environment, etc. and this is when that word was mentioned I believe! I do not have the book in front of me at this moment though.
